Have you ever felt that tingle down your spine, or a whisper of something you couldn't explain? That quiet nudge that says, there’s more to this world than meets the eye? Today, we're stepping into the realm of the paranormal--not just tales to tease your imagination, but stories that pull you into a space where the supernatural and the psychological dance a delicate tango.

And this is a dance you won’t want to miss.

When the Paranormal Crosses the Line Between Worlds

Life can get a little predictable: wake up, go to work, binge-watch a show, go to bed, repeat. But the paranormal? That shakes things up, doesn't it?

A blend of suspense, eerie atmosphere, and mind-bending twists, the Beyond the Veil series mixes the real world with the supernatural, so the experience feels both grounded and otherworldly. These stories tap into our deepest curiosities about what lies beyond the ordinary--those unseen forces that might brush up against us when we least expect it--when the extraordinary slips quietly into everyday life.

When I'm looking for a supernatural tale, I'm pretty picky. It's not the witches and goblins werewolves, shapeshifters and vampires that draw me, though they've earned their devoted audiences. What fascinates me is when the paranormal intersects with real life--when something extraordinary creeps quietly into an ordinary day.

That's the space I love to explore in paranormal fiction: that subtle, hair-raising boundary between logic and faith, between what we can explain and what we can't.

Meet Jessica Mack

My character, Jessica Mack, embodies that intersection. She's a regular woman in her thirties who never asked to talk to dead people, but somehow, this unwelcome "gift" has been force on her. Her ability to receive messages from the other side isn't a fantasy superpower; it's a burden that she can't ignore.

Jessica is an artist, and she'd rather live a normal life, painting and sculpting...but when spirits insist on being heard, she becomes their reluctant messenger, helping the living find closure and the dead find peace. Through her eyes, we explore the thin line between what we know and what we believe, and how that uneasy truth that the veil between worlds might often be thinner than we think.

Here’s why these stories work so well:

  • They combine psychological suspense with supernatural elements.

  • They often feature strong, relatable characters who use real skills

  • They create a sense of wonder and fear that’s both thrilling and thought-provoking.

Why the Paranormal Matters

Stories like these aren't just about ghosts or psychic phenomena, they're about connection. About loss, love, and the lingering questions that follow us long after the funeral flowers fade. They ask: What happens when science fails to comfort us? What if the voices we hear in the dark aren't just our imagination?

The paranormal invites us to wonder--to step outside the safe confines of reason and consider the possibility that reality is more mysterious, more compassionate, and far stranger than we ever imagined.

So whether you're a skeptic or a believer, maybe it's worth keeping an open mind. Because sometimes the answers we seek come not from this world, but from beyond the veil.

Curious to explore what lies beyond? Step into my Beyond the Veil books and meet Jessica Mack. She just might have a message for you...

Tips for enjoying stories of paranormal suspense:

  1. Keep an open mind. The best stories challenge what we believe to be possible.

  2. Notice the details. Clues often hide in plain sight, waiting for you to connect them.

  3. Savor the suspense. Let yourself be drawn into the atmosphere; half the fun lies in being unsure of what's real.
